Shell extends its alliance with Hyundai

Shell Lubricants announced on Monday that it has extended its strategic alliance with Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) for a further five years period. The Shell Lubricants has been a preferred lubricant partner for Hyundai for about a decade.
According to Company the alliance between these two world's leading automotive brands will pave the way for future collaboration in research and technological development. company's alliance with Hyundai enables us to extend our reach and network across the global automobile ecosystem and provide world class service to its partners, Mr Donald Anderson, Country Head, Lubricants of Shell India Markets.
Company is looking forward to continuing its association with Hyundai and want to offer them the latest lubricant technology for their newly developed high performance cars. Shell Lubricants undertakes on-ground activities throughout the year and runs a number of programmes with Hyundai dealerships and workshops to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, as per a statement given by the company.
In the first quarter of this year (January to March) Hyundai India registered a sales jump of 33.5% with total sales of 162,273 as compare to the 121,565 units sold last year in same period. In the whole financial year (April 2009 to March 2010) Hyundai India sold 600,588 units as compare to the 497,206 units sold in preceding financial year, accounted for a sales growth of 20.8%.
