Skoda celebrates Skoda International Safety Day

Car accident have always been a worry to the car makers. Studies suggest that a person dies due to car accident in every 12 minutes. The car accident is a leading cause of death as every year 40,000 people are killed. Safety is one feature where every car manufacture is heading for.

Skoda Auto, the Czech Republic car manufactures has been taking big steps in this direction. Skoda aims to give the best product in terms of safety. With over 100 specialist employed at the Technical Center at Mlada Boleslav who work on Traffic Safety Research team which keeps vigilant watch over the road accidents in the real world,Skoda has reasons to boast about this best in class security features. With such detailing, Skoda Roomster, Skoda Superb and Skoda Yeti have scored 5 star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test.

Skoda organized Skoda International Safety Day across Asia and Europe especially for media where they can have a one to one session with the experts.

The event had many interesting sessions such as vedio presentation, one to one talk with the experts, workshops and more.

Skoda engineers have done a hard core research with the data available. The media persons were shown many workshops on safety with experts helping them. The workshops showcased different methodologies and tools used by the safety research team and also both active and passive features which helps in building Skoda Cars.

Skoda has made earnest effort in educating people about safety measures. It has also made a website to teach children about road safety.

One of the most enjoyable activity was to Test Drive few Skoda cars and also check out its safety features.

Skoda cars are one of the most sellable cars and one of the reasons, is its safety features. The Safety features included in different Skoda Cars go as follows. Skoda Fabia is equipped with nine Airbags, Bi-xenon headlights with AFS, Fog lights with Corner Function, Electromechanical power steering, disc brake on wheels. It also has ESP, HBA and much more. Skoda Ocatvia comes with safety measures like engine immobilizer, ABS, Dual Airbags, Seat belt pretensioner, seat belt warming and more. Skoda Laura has Halogen projector headlights with manual leveling, front and rear fog light, mirror defogger with timer, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, MBA and much more. Skoda Fabia adds EBS with ABS and dual brake assist, dual front airbags, wider fog lights, and more.

The event was organized with a motive to educate and inculcate the road safety measure which was a nice way to promote the safety features of the car as well. Well, we must say Skoda International Safety Day was a hit.
