Skoda India announces its 24 x 7 Skoda Roadside Assistance program

Skoda Auto India, a fully owned subsidiary of Skoda Auto a.s. Czech Republic and one of the most promising automobile companies in India announces the rollout of 24*7 Road side assistance program - SKODA Assistance NON STOP HELP ON THE ROAD, a unique after sales proposition to enhance the ownership experience for its customers. The Roadside Assistance program will be a complimentary service to all new Skoda customers for the first 2 years.

The latest offering by Skoda will offer a hassle free journey & zero worries ownership experience to all Skoda Owners for a period of 2 Years from the date of new car sale effective from 1st of March 2011 onward.

The program will assist customer and occupants in case of breakdown eventualities no matter where the customer is located i.e. at home, on the roadside, on a highway or in a parking lot; he requires an immediate assistance and this program will meet the need to the utmost satisfaction of the customer’s expectations.It is strictly not a part of regular service program and does not substitute the need of regular maintenance carried out in the Skoda authorized workshops.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Board Member, Sales and Marketing, Skoda Auto India said, “This is a huge step for us and will further enhance ownership experience for our brand. After sales experience plays a big role in forming opinion and creating brand loyalty. The latest offering by the company reiterates Skoda's endeavor to provide innovative service to the customers that suits their needs and lifestyle. Skoda believes in value for money products and services”

Skoda Roadside Assistance key features includes, standard program services and premium program services. Standard Program Services include, Tele-Assist ,Road side Assistance , Flat Batteries / Battery Jump Start , Emergency Fuel ,Flat Tyres , Emergency vehicle access/ lost key services , Towing/Transportation , Emergency Message Relay and Accident Co-ordination While the Premium Program Services include; Taxi, Accommodation, Rental Vehicle and Vehicle Recovery.

Yes you can fix it outside. dont expect a audio system from any car model. For the same cost they charge you can buy a superb model outside.

I own a New Skoda Fabia Elegance model purchased in May 2011 from Tafe Access Mangalore.So far it is running fine without any problem.I am staying about 88 kms from Mangalore. My worry is in case of a breakdown it will take lot of time to recover as there is no workshop or sales service nearby where I am put up.In Kerala in northern region the nearest Service centre is at Kozhikode which is about 180 Kms away from my place.For me nearest service station is at Mangalore.I think the publicity of Skoda is very poor that is why people don't prefer Skoda.Moreover sale offices are very far of places. No doubt if a sale and services centre started at Kasaragod it will catch up sale.People don't go for Skoda is due to lack of service facilities nearby as well as lack of knowlege.Where as if you take the case of Maruti, Hyundai,Tata,Ford, Fiat and Chevrolet has the Sevicing facilities at Kasaragod.Another draw back is that for reducing the price most of the facilities/feature which were there in Fabia has been removed.At least the music system could have provided with speakers at the rear cabin where as there is only provision is there. While purchasing I had the impression that there are speakers at rear cabin also but when I checked at home there were no speakers at the rear cabin and the same was clarified from Tafe Acess Mangalore.Pl let me know whether speakers at rear cabin can be fitted by the servicing agency or not.
