Skoda to Reveal New Superb Tomorrow!

Skoda will make the global unveil of the third generation Superb tomorrow in Forum Karlín in Prague. After the unveiling of the 2016 Superb, it will be heading for the 85th Geneva Motor Show in the first week of March. The sales in Europe will start by mid-2015, Indian launch is expected early next year.

‘A fine finish right down to the smallest detail’

Skoda says that the new Superb’s design draws inspirations from the Bohemian tradition of glass art. The silhouettes of the new Superb are well sculpted with three dimensional geometric shapes, sharp line and contours. And indeed we already know that this third-gen premium sedan is the ‘best Skoda ever’.

The few images that were released by the Czech automaker showcased how the head and tail lights of the 2016 Superb will look like. The vehicle features Bi-Xenon headlamps with Octavia-esque daytime-running-LED pattern along with LED taillamps. Moreover, the interior image released couple of weeks ago are of Superb’s Laurin and Klement trim (likely the top-end) featuring a choco brown and black dashboard. The dash design cues are similar to that of the new Octavia and the Fabia, featuring a large screen infotainment system, electronic parking brake, park assist amongst other.  .

Speaking of the powertrains, Skoda will continue with the uprated TSI and TDI turbo petrol and diesel engines along with the manual and dual-clutch DSG automatic transmissions.
