Skoda Yeti expected to be priced around 17 lakh

Skoda Auto, the renowned Czech auto player will launch its SUV (sports utility vehicle), Skoda Yeti on November 15 with the price tag of about Rs 17 lakh. The new compact Sports Utility Vehicle of Skoda will be taking on the likes of Mitsubishi Outlander, Ford Endeavour and Maruti Grand Vitara in the price range of Rs 15-20 lakh. This new Skoda Yeti will be assembled at the Aurangabad plant of Skoda Motors in Maharashtra. This new product will be among the smallest Sports Utility Vehicles in size. The new Skoda Yeti will incorporate a 2 litre common rail direct injection diesel engine. This Skoda product will also have a manual transmission and a standard all 4-wheel drive system. The new car will be equipped with six airbags. The so-called off-roader, the new compact Skoda Yeti will have the capability to traverse thorough rough terrain. It will also be equipped with certain features which will help the vehicle in its drive upon the rough roads of mountain.

Auto major, Skoda Auto has developed the new Skoda Yeti for the Indian auto market. For example, the company has improved the suspension of the vehicle so that it may be able to cope up with the harsh and rough road conditions all over India. A senior executive of Skoda Auto stated that they considering at providing the smoothness of the product like driving and maintaining the roughness which is connected with an European SUV in the Yeti. He also added that the company has followed the rough–road- package in the new product for making it quite compatible for the local road conditions in India. On the other hand, the original product is more compatible for Europe and certain other markets.  

Besides the new Skoda Yeti, BMW, the famous German luxury car maker would also be introducing a Sports Utility Vehicle. This new SUV from BMW will be known as the BMW X1 and is speculated to be introduced in the coming month. In fact, these days there have been a constant demand for the off-road vehicles. Such demand is continuously increasing.
