SkodaAuto India kick starts 2011 with 51 % sales growth in January

Skoda Auto India, the wholly owned enterprise of the Skoda Auto which is one of the most looked upon car manufacturers in the domestic auto market has registered the sales growth of 51 per cent for January 2011. Skoda Auto India, the Indian arm of Czech Republic automobile manufacturer registered accumulative sales of 2825 units for the first month of the current year were  which was only 1881 car models for the same time last year.

The crown for the achievement can be well poised on its some time back launched SUV Skoda Yeti and the new model Skoda Fabia. Skoda Yeti was first unveiled in last year's Auto Expo in new Delhi but the launch of the long awaited SUV happened in November 2010 which has created ripple among its rivals.

Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Board Member- Sales and Marketing at Skoda Auto India said that 2011 commenced on an extremely positive note, in its sales reaching to 51 per cent. It is a testimonial for the company's future plans in the domestic car market. He also said that the company is extremely happy with response of the Indian buyers for Skoda Yeti and is extremely delighted as it has won 7 awards to its credit.

Skoda Auto is known to be the swiftly growing auto company by marking a strong presence in the Western and Central Europe. The company is also setting standard in the upcoming auto markets of India and China.
