Suzuki has recently launched a special edition of the Suzuki Swift with some special features that distinguish it from the Maruti Suzuki Swift available in India. Dubbed as the Suzuki Swift Special Edition, the car has taken a few pages out of the recently launched Suzuki Swift Sport handbook. Now so far the Swift has been showing an average sales figure of 135 units monthly, with this latest variant, Suzuki hope to bring the figure up a notch to match the Indian Swift’s sales records.
The Swift SE (Special Edition) houses the 1.4-litre K14B engine that is also available in the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and produces a very respectable 94bhp with 130Nm of peak torque. This engine is connected to the drivetrain via a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. Moving on to the features the Swift SE comes with a few features are missing in the Indian version. These include 16inch alloy wheels, a roof spoiler, silver-shade door handles, re-vamped tail lamp design that is similar to the Swift Sport and the addition of rounded fog lamps. Interior feature include a new sports inspired seat covered with the same silver shade found on the door handles. The instrument panel too gets a chrome finish. In addition to that, the Swift SE gets a leather wrapped steering wheel with silver stitching, a new multi-media system and USB port.
