Two models on the list registered year-on-year (YoY) growth of more than 100 percent

In February 2024, the top 10 best-selling cars list was once again dominated by Maruti. It saw the Maruti Wagon R take back the crown as the best-selling car in India while the Tata Nexon slipped down the table even further. Many cars registered a positive YoY growth, with it improving by over 100 percent for two cars.

• The Maruti Wagon R, with close to 19,500 units sold, was the best-selling car in February 2024. Its year-on-year (YoY) figure went up by 15 percent.

• With nearly 18,500 units dispatched, the Tata Punch took the second spot. Its month-on-month (MoM) sales increased by almost 500 units. These figures also include the sales data of the new Punch EV.

• With over 17,500 units sold, the Maruti Baleno was behind Tata’s micro SUV by just about 1,000 units. That said, both its YoY and MoM figures have dipped.

• Both the Tata Nexon and Maruti Fronx registered total sales between 14,000 and 14,500 units. While the Tata SUV’s YoY figure climbed by 3 percent, its MoM sales dropped by almost 3,000 units. The Nexon’s numbers also include the sales figures of the Nexon EV.
