Tata Electric Car Completes the Feasibility Study, to be Priced Rs. 10 Lakhs

Indian business house, Tata is all set to develop an electric car, which will be priced around Rs. 10 Lakhs. This will be done in parternship with Dassault Systemes of France, which is a well known name in 3D and the Product Life Cycle Management Sofwares. Tata Technologies, which is the company's IT service arm is said to have completed the feasibility study of the coming electric vehicle using the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform of Dassault Systemes.
President-Tata Tehnologies (Vehile Programs and Development Group), Kevin Fisher said that the company is working in parternship with Dassault Systemes to develop a vehicle under $20,000, he further added, that this will be an opportunity for global engineering talents to meet and work together on numersous desings. Although, nothing has been said on the launching date and total investment to be spent on the project.
According to the company, the biggest challenge in the development phase was to fit all the vehicle systems into a small track and still maintaing the comfortable seating for four adults. This has been the first electric Mobility (eMO) study of Tata group, with the help of Dassault Systemes's technology, and the brain behind this project are over 300 tata technologies' engineers from various places, including India, Europe and the US.
