Both the Tata Harrier facelift and Tata Safari facelift were revealed by the carmaker recently, while commencing bookings for the SUV duo for Rs 25,000. Both the SUVs share the same 2-litre diesel engine (170PS/350Nm) like before. Their transmission options have remained the same: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. However, with the facelift, Tata says the Harrier and Safari have now become slightly more frugal by up to 0.45kmpl. Moreover, Tata says the Harrier AT’s mileage figure hasn’t been affected at all.
New Features On Board The Two SUVs
Tata has expanded the features set on offer with both the SUVs. The 2023 Harrier and Safari now get a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and a gesture-controlled powered tailgate.
Their safety kit includes up to seven airbags, a more robust set of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a 360-degree camera.

Price And Competitors
We expect Tata to launch the facelifted Harrier and Safari soon. While the Harrier facelift is likely to start at around Rs 15 lakh, the new Safari could be priced from around Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). The 5-seater SUV will rival the MG Hector, Mahindra XUV700, and higher-spec variants of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The Tata Safari facelift, on the other hand, will take on the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus.
