Tata Motors First Full Throttle Trail Concludes in NCR

Tata Motor Full Throttle concluded the third trail of the 21 planned for this year, in Delhi NCR. The event for the Tata Motors SUV owners was kicked off on 28th July. Over 70 vehicles participated in the event. The participating vehicles included Tata Tata Safari, Tata Xenon XT, Tata Sumo Gold, Tata Sumo Grande and Tata Aria, in both 4x4 and 4x2 configurations.
A track, near Pali Village, Faridabad was specially prepared for this off-roading activity where the drivers were to maneuver challenging routes and deal with rugged terrain. The track was customized keeping in mind the experience and skill-level of participants and was designed such that they could get most of the vehicles. Full throttle has been victorious in reputed rallies like Desert Storm, Dakshin Dare, Raid De Himalaya, Eastern Mountain Safari rally and the Hornbill International Motor rally.
On the occasion, Deepankar Tiwari, Head NCR Operations, Passenger Car Business Unit, Tata Motors said that they were pleased with the number of participants and their enthusiasm. He further added that this activity not only demonstrated the capability the vehicles but also gave the customers an experience. A few of the drivers were off-roading for the first time.
Tata Motors launched the Tata Sierra in 1991 and created a whole new segment in India, called SUV. Soon to follow this was the Tata Sumo, in the year 1994. Soon came in Tata Safari in 1998 which is considered as pioneer true blooded SUV in India. Tata Motors is also responsible for bringing in the Shift-on-the-fly (electronic) 4X4 which was introduced in the Tata Safari and following this was the Aria, in year 2012 with features like Torque-on-Demand System, In-dash GPS-based Navigation System, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Hydroform chassis and six airbags.
