Tata Motors MD for India Operations Mr. P.M. Telang Retires; Company Appoints New Executive Directors

After serving as Managing Director of India Operations of Tata Motors for over three years, Mr. P.M. Telang has retired from the office on account of senility and has thus stepped down as the Member of the Board of the company. Mr. Telang is a Bachelor in Engineering from Nagpur University and an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad and has been working with Tata Motors since 1972.
Tata Motors in turn has appointed two new Executive Directors. Mr. Ravindra Pisharody who is an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta, was currently holding the post of President for Commercial Vehicles Business Unit has now been appointed as the Executive Director of Commercial Vehicles.
He has over 30 years of experience in business development, sales and marketing and has been serving to the company since 2007. Another appointed executive is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, who has been working with Tata Motors since 1974, Mr. Satish Borwankar.
Before being appointed as the Executive Director of Quality, Vendor Development & Strategic Sourcing for Tata Motors, he was serving as Senior Vice-President of Manufacturing Operations for Commercial Vehicles Business Unit and held various responsibilities in the company regarding the manufacturing and quality functions.
