Tata Nano sales to increase in Bengal, state dealers

Bengal has always been the controversial twist in the journey of Tata Nano. It all started with the idea of its manufacturing in Bengal which din't turn up to be a very good plan. Recently Tata Motors revealed its November sales and registered a downfall of 85% in Tata Nano sales. But the twist has come again as the Bengal based Tata Nano dealers still remain optimistic over its future prospect. The reports reveal that the existing users of Tata Nano are absolutely satisfied irrespective of all negative news coming from other parts of the country. The car was in news as three Tata Nano caught fire in market and the owners showed deep dissatisfaction with the car. The off shelf sales of Tata Nano started on 20th November in West Bengal after long list of booking. As per the reports, customers based in large cities and towns are posing greater problem to their dealers and salesman then the one based in hinterland.

According to one of the dealership owner of Tata Nano in Siliguri, the targets set by them are reached easily and it is expected to rise further in near future. He also added that the customers are absolutely satisfied with the overall performance of car. According to him the news related to Nano catching fire was truly hyped up and now when it is being rectified by the company, the actual buyers are turning up to make their purchase.

The similar situation is seen in Kolkata as well where according to a dealer (out of three) 70 Tata Nano cars have been sold and the customers have no serious issue with its performance. According to Tata Motors, 85% of Tata Nano users are absolutely satisfied with the car in terms of safety and robust design. A dealer selling in districts of Birbhum, Bankura, Purulia and Bardhaman said that the car dint receive much response from city like Asansol but the situation is better in outskirt areas. As per the dealers, Tata Nano is doing really good in the outskirt areas and customers are showing good response to it.

I read on internet, 2009 tata motor going to make automatic transmisition for Tata Nano. This is 2011 and I did not hear see any Nano with automatic transmition. Can you please let me know when automatic transmition for Nano will be available.
