Expect it to retail at Rs 20,000 more than the regular variants

The Tata Nexon EV Dark Edition has been teased online.
-
Will get a blacked-out finish with the EV-specific blue elements.
-
The Dark Editions might only be limited to the mid-spec XZ and top-spec XZ Lux variants.
-
The Nexon EV has a 30.2kWh battery pack and an electric motor (129PS/245Nm), returning a claimed range of 312km.
-
It retails from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 16.56 lakh.
While we have spied the Tata Nexon and Altroz Dark Editions, a new social media teaser has confirmed that even the Nexon EV will get a similar blacked-out treatment. The teaser also indicates that the all-black Harrier will also be updated. All four Dark Editions will be launched on July 7.
Like the Harrier, the Nexon EV Dark Edition will get a glossy black finish but retain the EV-specific blue highlights on the fog lamp covering, air dam, and badging.
The cabin will be finished in black as well, with blue inserts on the dashboard and centre console. We reckon the Dark Edition will be limited to only the mid-spec XZ and top-end XZ Lux variants, and will sell at a premium of around Rs 20,000 (much like the Harrier).
The Nexon EV gets a 30.2kWh battery pack and an electric motor (129PS/245Nm) for a claimed range of 312km. A DC fast charger can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in 60 minutes, while a 15A plug point takes up to 8.5 hours to charge the SUV from 10 to 90 percent.
Features include rain sensing wipers, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a sunroof, automatic headlamps, cruise control, braking regeneration, dual front airbags, a rear parking camera, and electronic stability control.
