Tata Tiago EV Gets Enhanced Convenience With These 2 New Features

The Tiago EV now comes with a front USB Type-C 45W fast charger and an auto-dimming IRVM, although limited to its higher-spec variants

• The 45W fast charger is available on both the higher-spec XZ+ Long Range and XZ+ Tech Lux Long Range.

• Auto-dimming IRVM offered only on the fully loaded XZ+ Tech Lux Long Range.

• Other features include a 7-inch touchscreen, auto AC, and a reversing camera.

• The Tiago EV is available with two battery packs: 19.2 kWh (250 km) and 24 kWh (315 km).

• Prices range from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 11.89 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).

The equipment set of the Tata Tiago EV has just got a silent update with minor feature additions. Tata has added an auto-dimming IRVM (inside rearview mirror) and a front USB Type-C 45W charging port for smartphones. The fast-charging USB port is available on the higher-spec XZ+ Long Range (LR) and XZ+ Tech Lux LR. On the other hand, Tata is offering the auto-dimming IRVM only on the XZ+ Tech Lux LR.

Feature Highlights Of Tata Tiago EV

Apart from these new features, the Tiago EV is also equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto climate control, an 8-speaker sound system, cruise control, and push-button start/stop. Its safety net includes dual front airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a reversing camera.

The Tata Tiago EV is available with two battery pack options as follows:

Tata’s electric hatchback comes with four charging options: a 15 A socket charger, 3.3 kW AC charger, 7.2 kW AC charger, and a DC fast charger.

Here are the charging times for both Tiago EV batteries:

• 15 A Socket Charger: 6.9 hours (19.2 kWh), 8.7 hours (24 kWh)(10-100%)
• 3.3 kW AC Charger: 6.9 hours (19.2 kWh), 8.7 hours (24 kWh)(10-100%)
• 7.2 kW AC Charger: 2.6 hours (19.2 kWh), 3.6 hours (24 kWh)(10-100%)
• DC Fast Charger: 58 minutes for both (10-80%)

Price And Competition

The Tata Tiago EV is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 11.89 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). It takes on the MG Comet EV and is an alternative to the Citroen eC3 as well.
