The All New Fiat Punto Launched in UK

The Italian automaker, Fiat has recently launched the mid life facelift of its much popular model, Punto hatchback in the UK market. The all new Fiat Punto has come out with many cosmetic changes, thus look so refreshed. Although, the all new 2012 Fiat Punto has got considerable changes, it still maintains the model's signature stamp. The most noticeable modifications of all, is a refreshed front bumper along with the brand new headlamps and fog lamps.
The new bumper gives the front an enhanched look, having the same colour paint as the rest of the car. The rear too gets a refreshed look with an all new bumper, a new tail gate design and new tail lamps. in fact the inteiror too has been given a make over with the new material used. The rear of the car also gets a makeover with a new bumper, a new tail gate design and new tail lamps. The interiors also get a once over with new materials used.
Demonstrating the technical excellence, the all new 2012 Punto has come in revamped range of engines, out of which five are petrol and two are diesel. For the very first time, the Punto has come up with Fiat's Award Winning TwinAir Turbo, which has already bagged the titles including 2011 International Engine of the Year and Best Green Engine 2011. It is bascially a two-cylinder engine that derives the power equalent to a four cylinder but offers the mileage as efficient as a twin-cylinder engine .It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox, which has got the ability to work in multiple power modes.
In normal mode, it produces the maximum of 85bhp and 145Nm of torque, while pushing the 'Eco' button given on the dashboard, it gets on to the other mode, in which it reduces the torque to 110Nm @ 2500rpm, thus help produce the better fuel economy. There is one more pair of 1.4-Litre petrol engines with MultiAir technology, that produces the maximum of 105bhp and 135bhp (with the help of a turbocharger). The Engine is so intelligent that it would react as per your need. The moment you need the engine to produce power and performance, it would enhance both and in times when fuel efficiency is the requirement, it would deliver to its optimum.
