The Hybrid Silk Trail ends in Mumbai

The team of the Land Rover Silk Trail 2013 celebrates the completion of the Expedition, which started in Germany and the United Kingdom. The journey took them through various terrains, passing some of the world’s most challenging roads and passes across 12 countries covering 16,000 kms. The trail ends in Mumbai, India – The Home of the Parent, TATA.
There were a total of two teams that began their journey from Europe, one is a Range Rover hybrid team that started from Solihull, UK and the other was the Range Rover Evoque 2014 team beginning their drive from Berlin, Germany. Both the teams with a total of 18 vehicles began their journey from Europe and drove to Mumbai, India. India was selected as it is the home of the parent company of Jaguar Land Rover— Tata Motors.
The 18 vehicles covered about 16,000kms in 53 days, driving on and off the road. The vehicles were driven into India by Land Rover Experience drivers include the media from 11 different countries.
