The Mahindra Bolero Neo+ has been expected to arrive for some time now and has been spied testing a few times as well. Well, it has surfaced now, but not in the passenger vehicle market. Instead, it has arrived as the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ Ambulance, which is longer than the Bolero Neo and gets a more powerful diesel engine. But before we get into that, check out its prices and what this ambulance is equipped with.
Price
The Bolero Neo+ Ambulance is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the one variant it comes in. For use in Government hospitals, Mahindra has put it up in the Government e-marketplace for a price tag of Rs 12.31 lakh.
Medical Equipment
Onboard the Bolero Neo+ Ambulance is a cushioned foldable stretcher, a ramp for easy movement of the stretcher, an oxygen cylinder stand, hook hangers for intra-venous bottles, a public announcement system, a two-tone wailing siren, washbasin assembly, dustbin, a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher.

The Bolero Neo+ is an elongated version of the Bolero Neo. While the Neo+ is not in the market yet, its Ambulance version gives us an idea of its physical dimensions.

The Bolero Neo+ Ambulance only differs in terms of length, and the rest of the dimensions are more or less the same. We can expect the same figures with the Bolero Neo+ once it is launched in the passenger vehicle market. The extended SUV can still seat four plus the driver.
More Powerful Engine
To counter the added weight put on by the extra length and all the medical equipment, Mahindra has put a 2.2-litre diesel engine in the ambulance instead of the 1.5-litre unit of the Bolero Neo. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission in a rear-wheel drive setup and makes 120PS and 280Nm.
When Can YOU Get A Bolero Neo+?
After the launch of the ambulance version, the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ could be poised to enter the passenger vehicle market as well. If launched, it could be priced from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning itself as an affordable alternative to the Mahindra Scorpio N.
