Of the various versions teased, a couple of potential customisations really caught our eye
Toyota is one of the best brands when it comes to making a pickup, as illustrated by the globally renowned Toyota Hilux. The Japanese carmaker has just unveiled a new concept pickup called the IMV 0, as a vision for pickup trucks. While the full details of the concept will be revealed at its real-life debut at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show, Toyota has teased the customisation opportunities with the IMV 0 using various renders and here are some that really caught our attention:
Ambulance
An advantage of having customisations available is that this concept can be converted into an Ambulance. Its existing cabin can seat two while the rear of the design can house a small structure kitted out for emergency medical scenarios. There are no technical details available, but this Ambulance will likely have oxygen support, basic medical equipment and a stretcher. Its small and robust nature can allow it to reach difficult areas faster than traditional ambulances.
Off Roader
It can also be converted into a proper off-roader with bigger profile tyres, wheel arches, beefier bumper with tow winches, a roof rack and a covered rear end that acts as a secondary cab for more occupants. Thanks to the 5.3 metres long design, there’s still room for a storage bay as well. Toyota has not revealed any details, but this customisation will likely come with the required mechanical changes.

Adventure RV
It can also be customised into what appears to be a recreational vehicle (RV) with a custom-designed cabin to be fitted to the back of the driver’s cab. This version will likely have space for 4-5 passengers in the rear with furniture and appliances.
