Toyota cuts down the production in India by 30%

Toyota Kirloskar Motor(TKM) said on Monday that they will cut down the production in December by 30% in India due to the fall in sales of passenger car. The Toyota Kirloskar Motors has a capacity to manufacture more than 5000 units per month in its manufacturing plant near Bangalore.
Also, Toyota said that they are planning to invest around Rs. 3200 crore in India although it has decided to cut down the production by 30%. In November 2008 Toyota has manufactured 2886 units but due to the fall in sales of passenger car, it has cuts down the production in December 2008.
The company official said that they will manufacture 30% less in December because of fall in sales and they will decide about the future productions for January and Feruary depending upon the market condition of this month. The company previously declared about its sales objective for December which is of 60,000 units.
