Toyota Supports Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal Friendship Motor Rally 2015

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced their support and participation in the Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Nepal (BBIN) Friendship Motor Rally 2015. The rally will be flagged off today, that is 14th of November from Bhubaneshwar. The flag-off ceremony at Bhubaneshwar will be attended by MoRTH Secretary Mr. Vijay Chhibber, Mr. Shekar Viswanathan, Vice Chairman and Whole - time Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Ambassadors/High Commissioners of the 4 participating countries. The rally will culminate at Kolkata on December 2nd, 2015.
The Japanese automaker will provide Fortuners and Innovas for the BBIN Friendship Rally. The foremost motive of the rally is to facilitate sub-regional connectivity, better opportunities and improved people-to-people interactions between the four participating countries. Moreover, Toyota also aims to educate the people about the importance of road safety and safe driving through a seminar to be conducted by the company in Guwahati on November 25th, 2015.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Shekar Viswanathan, Vice Chairman and Whole - time Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “We at Toyota are extremely delighted to be part of this historic event. We are privileged to support the Government and various state authorities in its endeavors of attaining a holistic development of the society. Seamless connectivity in the neighboring countries will open up newer and greater opportunities for all. With enhanced connectivity also comes the primary concern of road safety. While we transcend boundaries, it is important to adopt a comprehensive approach towards creating awareness on safe driving habits.”

Also commenting on the event Mr. Vijay Chhibber – Secretary, MoRTH, said, “BBIN friendship rally will further strengthen friendship, mutual trust and cooperation between participating countries. Growing access will also help in establishing a stronger people to people bond. We hope to build more such cultural engagements in the future. We are happy to receive the participation from TKM and their support in promoting the importance of Road Safety”.
