Toyota to launch Prius in India By 2010

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Indian part of Toyota Motors is planning to launch Toyota Prius which is a hybrid car in India by 2010. Toyota Prius is a Hybrid electric car. The car was first introduces in Japan in year 1997. The car was rolled -out in World market in year 2001 and till year 2008 the company has sold more then one million units of this car world wide.
Toyota India is expecting that government will provide some relief in the duty for Toyota Prius because of its Eco friendliness. The Toyota Prius is very successful car in United States. Currently the Company is selling it in more then 40 countries including north America and Japan. The CO2 emission level of this car is very low and it is Third lowest CO2 emitting car in the world.
