Toyota Urban Cruiser Variant-wise Features Leaked Ahead Of September 23 Launch

The Maruti Vitara Brezza-based Urban Cruiser will be sold in three variants, all with the option of an automatic transmission

Toyota is all set to launch its first sub-4m SUV offering, the Urban Cruiser, on September 23. Official pre-bookings are already underway for a token sum of Rs 11,000. But if you are still on the fence and were waiting to see what kind of features it will have on offer, we have some news for you. We’ve got hold of its variant-wise features and colour options. Before delving into the features, let’s quickly look at the specifications.

The AT variants get the add-on of a mild-hybrid system as standard. The Urban Cruiser gets six monotone and three dual-tone colour choices. It comes in three variants: Mid, High and Premium, and this is how it will be bifurcated based on colour options:

• Sunny White (All three variants)

• Iconic Grey (All three variants)

• Suave Silver (All three variants)

• Rustic Brown (Only Mid and High variant)

• Spunky Blue (Only Mid and High variant)

• Groovy Orange (Only Mid and High variant)

• Rustic Brown with Sizzling Black roof (Only top Premium variant)

• Spunky Blue with Sizzling Black roof (Only top Premium variant)

• Groovy Orange with Sunny White roof (Only top Premium variant)

As you can see above, the top Premium variant is the only one that can be had with a dual-tone shade. Here’s a look at the variant-wise features on offer:

Toyota Urban Cruiser Mid Variant

Exterior: LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and integrated turn indicators, rear LED tail lights and spoiler, and 16-inch steel wheel with covers.

Interior: Dual-tone interior, rain pattern seat upholstery and dark brown fabric door trim. 

Convenience: Manual day/night internal rearview mirror, keyless entry with push button start/stop, and automatic climate control.

Audio: Audio system with MP3, FM, AUX, Bluetooth connectivity, and steering-mounted controls.

Safety: Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.

Toyota Urban Cruiser High Variant

Additional features over the Mid variant:

Exterior: Alloy wheels with black centre cap.

Interior: Honeycomb pattern for seats. 

Audio: 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and other connectivity features.

Convenience: Cruise control.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Premium Variant

Additional features over the High variant:

Exterior: Front LED fog lamps and diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Convenience: Rain-sensing wipers. Expect the Urban Cruiser’s basic features set to be identical to the Maruti Vitara Brezza. Its prices are likely to range between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 11.65 lakh. You can read our price forecast here.
