Volkswagen India Launching the Touareg Soon?

Volkswagen Touareg was spotted in India and this time not on the streets but on the official website of Volkswagen India, indicating that the SUV is ready for its launch. The SUV has already reached the showrooms and we just waiting for the official launch to be announced. The ex-showroom price however, has already been revealed and in Mumbai it is Rs. 57.86 lakh. The SUV is expected to come in as a CBU which explains the high price.
Across the world, the vehicle is known for its off-roading capabilities and acclaimed water wading capacity of up to 500mm. Under the hood, the V6 turbo diesel power will be a 3.0-litre engine which is also found in the Audi A6, Q7 and Q5. This engine, mated to 8-speed automatic gearbox is capable of delivering a peak power of 240bhp along with a torque of 550Nm. The crossover will be a 4-wheel drive which will come as a standard.
On the outside the SUV flaunts bi-xenon headlamps, daytime LED running lamps, electric sun-roof and roof rails. The vehicle will be 4795mm in length, 1940mm in width, 1709mm in height along with a wheelbase of 2904mm. Further, with a ground clearance of 205mm, the Touareg will ride on tyres sized, 255/55 R1.
In the cabin on the other hand, the Touareg gets posh leather interiors including leather wrapped steering along with a 4-zone automatic climate control system, ornamental wood centre console, premium multi-function display etc. The driver will get a 14-way adjustable seat. The front seats will also come with memory functions. The Cruise Control will come as a standard in the vehicle. The other luxury features will include electric parking brake, park distance control, keyless locking and starting system etc.
The safety features also, will be well placed in the Volkswagen crossover. The features include ABS, ESP, TCS, Electronic Differential Lock, Hill Hold Control, Anti-Slip Regulations etc. further there will be a permanent all wheel drive “4 motion” with self locking centre differential.
