Volvo launched new version of S80 in India

Volvo India, a subsidiary of US based Ford Motors, launched a new and upgraded version of its Volvo S80 model in the country. The New S80 model is coming with an all new diesel engine as well as some new generation features which were absent in its previous S80 model. The new S80 model is powered with a twin-turbo diesel engine which generates a maximum power of 205hp along with 420 NM of torque. According to Paul de Voijs, managing director, Volvo India, with the launch of new S80 model in India the company has shown its seriousness in Indian market and it is all set to roll-out some more exciting products in India in coming months.
The twin-turbo D5 engine of new Volvo S80 is compatible to the new Euro-V emission norms which makes it best-in-class from the point of view of emission of CO2 and low fuel consumption. Besides this the S80 model has trademark safety features from Volvo like Intelligent Driver Information System, Ready Alert Brakes which reduces braking distance in case of sudden brake-down and Adaptive Brake Lights. The exteriors of the S80 model has been painted with a water based paint to increase the usage of environment-friendly solvents. The S80 model is coming with a price tag of Rs. 38.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and Rs 37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Cars to look forward to this quarter are Ford Figo and Tata Aria that will be launched in the month of Feb and March respectively.
