Volvo unveiled the new version of S60 model

Volvo India, a subsidiary of US based Ford Motors unveiled a new and upgraded version of its famous Volvo S60 model. As company has already sold around 1 million units of this model so far, now it wants to capitalize on the success of this model by launching it in new version. Volvo is aiming to sell around 90,000 units of this model in the starting year.

According to the company, Volvo S60 is the most dynamic car ever presented by the company. It will be launched in two variants named as Dynamic and Comfort. These two variants has been differentiated with unique dampers and changes to the sub-frames. Where the Dynamic variant will be launched in Europe as standard model, in Asian market it will be launched with an optional variant, Comfort.

Besides the design some interior features have also been upgraded by the company like the steering of Volvo S60 model is faster than the old S60’s. At the same time the suspension system has been upgraded to provide a firmer and comfort providing driving experience with mountings in the sub-frames and dampers.

It is expected that the Volvo S60 model will be launched with two petrol engines which includes a 3.0-liter, 340 bhp turbocharged engine and a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder, 203bhp engine. While it will also be available in two diesel variants, a five-cylinder, 205 bhp engine and a five-cylinder, 163 bhp engine.

Hot new car launches in coming months includes Toyota Etios, which will be introduced by the end of this year.
