The Maruti e Vitara debuted in its India-spec avatar at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and was expected to go on sale by March 2025. However, after repeated delays in its launch, the carmaker has now confirmed that prices of its first EV will be revealed by September 2025.
The Maruti e Vitara has reached a lot of pan-India dealerships and offline bookings of the e-SUV are also open at some outlets. If you are interested in the e Vitara, here’s everything you need to know about it.
Maruti e Vitara: An Overview
The Maruti e Vitara gets a fairly modern design that includes LED projector headlights, Y-shaped LED DRLs, aerodynamically designed 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and wraparound LED tail lights with a Y-insignia which are connected by a gloss black trim.
Inside, the e Vitara features a dual-tone black and tan hue with a layered dashboard design. The dashboard features a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display and a two-spoke steering wheel. The seats get a semi-leatherette upholstery that matches the overall cabin theme.
In addition to the aforementioned amenities, the e Vitara will be further equipped with a fixed glass roof, an Infinity sound system, ventilated front seats, 10-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ambient lighting and a PM2.5 cabin air filter.
In terms of safety, it will get up to 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and front and rear parking sensors. In what is a first for Maruti, a Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite will also be offered with features including adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

Maruti e Vitara: Battery Pack And Electric Motor Specifications
The carmaker has revealed that the Maruti e Vitara will be available with two battery pack options, both of which will be mated to an electric motor mounted on the front axle. Here are the details:

Maruti e Vitara: Expected Price And Rivals
The Maruti e Vitara is expected to be priced from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), which will make it a prime competitor to the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV.
