Will Honda price Brio below Jazz?

Honda India seems to be pretty excited as Honda Brio launch is slated for the next month in the country. Honda Brio has already been launched in Thailand and the zippy hatchback is all set to lure the India customers. Pricing has been an issue with Honda, the company recently slashed the Honda City price by upto Rs 66,000 and also launched the revamped Jazz at a staring price of Rs 5.50 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). The company may not want to overprice its new hatchback, Brio as there are other options also available in the market which can give a stiff competition to it.

Honda Brio in India will compete with Toyota Etios Liva, which comes with a starting price tag of Rs. 3.99 Lakh and goes up to Rs.5.99 Lakh (ex showroom Delhi), depending on the model one picks. Honda India obviously wouldn’t want its Honda Jazz to go down in sales, so therefore, Honda Brio will be priced competitively. According to the reports, Honda India is expected to launch 3 versions of Honda Brio.

Rumor has it that the base variant might be priced at Rs. 3.99 lakh, whereas on the other hand, the middle version of Honda Brio is expected to come with a price tag of Rs. 4.49 Lakh and finally the top end version is likely to be priced at Rs. 4.99 Lakh. These pricing details will surely help Honda India to a great extent. These prices of Honda Brio will also assist Honda to compete with cars like Hyundai i10, Maruti Wagon R and Toyota Etios Liva.
