CarDekho has recently reported about the launching of Chevrolet Captiva Facelift, which was said to be coming in the month of June, but rumor has it that this much anticipated SUV will get delayed by a few months. If we believe the rumors, then the launch might get pushed to Diwali now. When we contacted to our sources at General Motors, they neither denied nor agreed on it, which made us believe on the rumor.
As per the GM officials, the facelift version of Captiva was to be launched with a few weeks difference from the launch of Tavera Neo3, which happened in March. Believing the launch of Tavera Neo3 we were expecting the launch of new Captiva to be in mid of April. The reasons for pushing back the launch are still unknown. The new Captiva made a show at Delhi Auto Expo early this year with minor changes in the interior and a look over in the front fascia.
The car has been provided with an all new 2.2 liter diesel engine with 6 speed automatic transmission replacing the 2 liter engine from the older version. The car has additional features like cruise control, a dual row heating ventilation and air-conditioning system, an electric parking brake, rain-sensing wipers, and a sunroof. Although, no official confirmation has been said on the launch, so the rumor stills stays a rumor. We will update our readers as soon as we get the confirmation on the launch of the new version of Chevrolet Captiva.
