Toyota is working on a facelift Land Cruiser Prado SUV, which is set to receive several comfort features. Land Cruiser Prado is known for its off-roading capabilities and its excellent range of comfort and convenience features. The images and the video of the 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV have hit the web world, which provides us the glimpse of what all changes could be offered with the facelift. It is quite evident that the facelifted Prado retains the same portfolio other than some minor tweaks to make it more aggressive and sporty.
The front fascia of the Prado features new headlamps, bumper, newly formulated chromed grille, fog lamps and newly designed alloy wheels. The headlamps of the SUV now gets a LED daytime running lamps at the bottom. The rear end of the facelifted SUV received a restyled tail lamps and a redesigned number plate. The interior too gets some clever changes, such as the wood inserts to dashboard, and the centre console features a reshaped buttons and central dial.
It is expected that the 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will retain the same engine configuration - 3-litre D-4D turbo diesel engine, but will be tuned to offer more power and torque value. The current 3-litre engine is capable of churning out 170.6bhp and 410Nm of top torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox, which transmits power to all-four wheel drive.
It is quite early to comment on the launch time of 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, but we expect it to hit the Indian shores by the mid of next year. The present model is priced at Rs. 76.2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
