Audi India to launch A3 on August 7

Relived? The day since Audi showcased the A3 sedan at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, people started pining for this car and their temptation was further aired after Audi said that it's base variant will start from under 25 lakh! If reports are to believed Audi A3 is coming next month on 7th. It will be the most economical 'four-ring' car in the country and will compete with the growing entry level luxury segment with cars like Mercedes Benz A and B Class and BMW 1 series.
What you get in the so called 25 lakh vicinity bracket is a top-notch German quality, potent and frugal engines and ofcourse, the flamboyance of Audi and a ticket to the luxury class. A3 has been a massive hit globally and will certainly take its segment by storm in India as no other manufacturer offers sedan in the entry level luxury space, giving A3 an edge over its rivals. It is expected that Audi will introduce the A3 hatch later. Though it looks like a mini A4 but it adorns radical changes, A3 looks more sharper with with aggressive lines compared to it's sibling A4.
A3 sedan impresses on the feature list, it offers bi-xenon headlamps with day-time-running LEDs and a sportier S-line body kit. One the inside, it features Audi's new dash layout with less-claustrophobic design, retro-styled air vents and 7-inch infotainment screen that pops out of the dash. The car also features a dual-zone climate control, MMI touch and MMI navigation, rear view camera, panoramic sunroof and Milano leather upholstery.
The A3 will feature two engine options, 1.8L TFSI petrol and 2.0L TDI diesel. The 1.8L TFSI turbo petrol gathers a modest 177bhp and 250Nm of max torque while the 2.0 liter TDI churns out 143bhp and 320Nm of max torque. The transmission will be a six-speed dual clutch S-Tronic AT.
