The current video reveals the headlights of upcoming Q2, the entry-level crossover-SUV from the German automaker. The video also dramatically revealed the silhouette of the new Q2. Audi has been teasing this new ‘Q’ for a while now and it will be revealed at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show. It will sit below the Q3 and is likely to be based on VW’s MQB platform. Audi Q2 will go on sale later this year in the European market and it is expected that it will be launched somewhere in 2017 in the Indian market.
Speaking of the headlamps, the daytime running LED graphic is in-line with Audi’s current lineup. In its first teaser video, in which the Q2 was evading a dirt road, what we extracted was that it will have a floating roof, as the C-pillars were blacked out. Even the Q2's silhouette which was revealed in this new video, the vehicle will have a sharply raked coupe-like roofline.
In terms of engines, it is obvious that the Q2 will be powered by Audi’s TFSI and TDI turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, while higher variants will come with Quattro all-wheel-drive. Coming to the features, expect what Audi is offering in its current latest offering like the new MMI infotainment system and 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, amongst others. Beside this, nothing has been revealed by the German automaker, stay tuned for next week as Audi will reveal it at the Motor show.
