Chevrolet Pavilion at Auto-Expo

GM pavilion at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010 was one of the best designed and one of the largest pavilion there. The company had used a massive 2000 sqft pavilion to showcase its large range of upcoming vehicles. Special preparations were made to showcase its popular and upcoming models which include Chevrolet Beat, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet volt, Chevrolet Spark Electric, Chevrolet Aveo CNG and Chevrolet Camaro. While some car models were displayed at revolving daises, at the same time some models were provided separate space in the Pavilion.

The main stage of the Chevrolet Pavilion was equipped with a high quality sound system as well as there was perfect arrangement for lighting.

The Chevrolet WTCC cruze model is a special chapter in Chevrolet's Racing Tradition. The all sporty WTCC Cruze model was first introduced in World Touring Car Championship which was embarked by GM. The WTCC Cruze model is 4633 mm long, 1852mm wide and 1400 mm high. It has a 2.0L 4-Cylinder 1998 cc engine with a maximum power of 282 PS @ 8400 rpm. It has a six speed manual transmission and a wheel base of 2709mm.

A black color Chevrolet Cruze model was also displayed at the Chevrolet pavilion. The Cruze model was launched in India in the month of December last year. It has a 4-cylinder 1991cc, VCDi 16v SOHC engine. The Chevrolet Cruze is 4597mm long, 1788cc wide and 1477mm high and has and amazingly designed front grill. The Cruze model was provided a separate dais and awesome lighting so that the model was looking more appealing.

Besides this the center of attraction among the sports car lovers was much awaited Super car Chevrolet Camaro model. The Camaro model was displayed in a dashing yellow color and a separate revolving dais was provided to the model. The Chevrolet Camaro model has a overall length 4760mm, overall width of 1887.5mm and overall height 1355mm. The model is coming with a 6.2l V8 SFI engine with maximum power of 432PS. The model has a 6-speed manual transmission which provides an amazing driving experience.

Besides all these luxury segment cars the main center of attraction was Chevrolet Beat model.The model was much awaited and launched just one day before starting of Auto expo in New Delhi.The three variants, PS, LS and LT of Chevrolet Beat model priced at 3.34 lacs, 3.54 lacs and 3.99 lacs respectively and according to the company it will be available in 7 color options, while the top variant Beat LT is featured ABS, Dual Airbags, Alloy wheels and Seat belts with load limiters in option pack. The top end variant will be costing ex-showroom price of 4.34 lacs. It has a 1199cc DOHC engine generates 80.5 PS of maximum power.

Chevrolet's small car Aveo was also available at the Chevrolet's pavilion at auto show. The U-VA model is available with an 1.2L SOHC petrol engine with 76 PS of Power and 110 Nm of torque. It has an incredibly specious cabin and luxurious beige interior colour theme. The impact proof front and rear bumpers and a high- strength safety cage making the car even more safe. The Chevrolet Aveo U-Va model was voted as 'Car of the year 2007' by BS Motoring.

The Captive Extreme was also displayed at the Chevrolet pavilion. It has the same 2.0 liter diesel engine of the standard Captiva, and the differences seem to be mostly in the looks and styling. It has New fog lamps, chrome inserts on roof handles and mirrors are some new features in Chevrolet Captiva Extreme,apart from this the model has same auto box of the automatic Captiva.

Besides this the company also displayed the Chevrolet Aveo CNG modal at its pavilion in Delhi auto expo. The Aveo model is styled by the world-renowned design studio in Italy. Besides the availability of next generation sequential Injection CNG kit, the model is available in 1.4l and 1.6l engine with VGIS technology delivering 94 PS and 102 PS of power respectively. The model has an excellent value package-Leather upholstery, ABS, Alloy wheels, Driver air bags and electric outside mirrors.

Chevrolet Tavera Neo 2 was also displayed at the Chevrolet pavilion in the auto show. It is a signature Chevrolet masterpiece. The car is developed for the indulgent and provides all that you would ever want on four wheels. Its plush interiors and extremely well crafted body makes the car extremely attractive. The Chevrolet Tavera Neo 2 also flaunts flexible seating arrangements and a 3 spoke steering wheel. Other then this is has complete fabric floor carpeting and tilt quarter windows.

In the Eco-friendly car segment the Chevrolet e-Spark model was available at the Chevrolet pavilion. The e-Spark model is India's 4 door passenger electric vehicle. The e-Spark is a true Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). It is going to be based on the existing Chevrolet Spark platform and it will be powered by the RECC EV power train. Besides this the model will be equipped with a host of customer friendly features.

The last but not the least was the Chevrolet Optra Magnum model which was available at the Chevrolet pavilion. The model is equipped with advanced TCDi diesel engine with 120.5 PS of power. According to the company the fuel efficiency of the model is 17.9 kmpl. The car is available with specious and elegant two tone interior color theme of beige and coffee color. Diesel version of the Chevrolet Optra Magnum starts from Rs 8.11 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) and at the same time the Petrol version starts from Rs 7.11 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
