Ford Ecosport has been the talk of the town for a while and people have been waiting for the launch of this SUV for a long time. The Ecosport will be offered in 3 engine options, 1.0-litre EcoBoost, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. It is the 1.5-litre petrol that will be offered with petrol and diesel engine options.

We had promised to get the more information on the Ford Ecosport and here we share more details on the vehicle. It gets a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with three-cylinders that produces about 122bhp of power and 170Nm of flat torque. This engine comes mated to 5-speed manual transmission and has a ARAI fuel efficiency figure of 18.9kmpl. This is more than that of the 1.5-litre petrol engine and the EcoBoost is more powerful as well. This three pot engine weighs about 97kgs, as compared to the 1.5-litre that is about 18kgs heavier.

The Ecosport gets keyless entry, push start and stop button. Also, it needs the new SYNC that is designed by Microsoft for Ford vehicles. This helps consumers to sink in their phone data with the car and it even has voice command. Ford has sold over 5 million cars with this system and Ecosport is the first Ford vehicle to get this new technology. The Ecosport also gets the Hill Assist that makes it easy to drive off or stop on a steep slope.
