Ford Ecosport online campaign begins

This has been an interesting week, as Ford began its online campaign on its biggest launch for this year— the Ecosport. With the Geneva Motor Show beginning next week, everyone is busy to showcase their new concept vehicles. Tata Motors will also show something new this year, as in the previous years, it has unveiled the Pixel and MegaPixel concepts. Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, JLR all are preparing for this big motorshow.

This week, we get to know what Jaguar Land Rover plans for the coming year and also get our hands on Volkswagen’s Touareg. Ford will celebrate its three years of Figo success with a designer team. Also, we share our special feature with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class as it was the realise of the movie “A Good Day to Die Hard.” With the union budget being announced, it didn’t seem to be a good news for SUV and luxury car buyers.

Union Budget 2013: SUVs and Imported Cars Get Expensive

India's finance minister P Chidambaram announced a hike in excise duty on Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) from existing 27% to 30% during his 2013 budget speech. However, the hike won't be applicable on the SUVs registered as taxis, the excise duty for all the cars has remained the same (12%). We have also inspected that this year the govt's focus has been on taxing the rich people, the govt announced to tax 10% as surcharge to the people earning more than Rs 1 crore an year. Read more

Ferrari Teases Enzo Successor, to debut at 2013 Geneva Motor Show

Ferrari has once again and possibly the last time teased the Ferrari Enzo successor, confirming it debut at the upcoming 2013 Geneva Motor Show on 5th March, however the company hasn't still revealed its official name. Codenamed as F150, the car will sport a 6.3-litre V-12 engine that mated to a KERS-style hybrid regenerative braking function will help it churn out the maximum power output around 900bhp. Read more

One More Night

On my way back from a late night shoot, Maroon 5’s latest hit single “One More Night” was streaming through the speakers as I was humming the lyrics, until I parked the car and walked home to my bed. Then began my attempt to get some sleep, which for some reason had divorced me for this particular night despite it being about 4 a.m. I felt like an insomniac, as even the ticking of the clock on the furthest wall in my room seemed to be distracting me. “One more night” got stuck in my head like the way Minka Kelly got stuck to Adam Levine’s body like a tattoo in the official video.
