The German auto giant, Volkswagen has just announced the launch of Beetle 53 Special Edition in Spain, which takes its inspiration from the Herbie- the anthropomorphic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, which has been used as a character in several Disney films starting from the 1968 The Love Bug- The new Beetle has got the film star car's famous '53' racing number and tricolour body stripes.
Featuring the white exterior, the Volkswagen Beetle 53 Edition is further complemented by tri-colour stripe (red, white & blue), 17-inch alloy wheels and a 'Beetle 53' badge in the glove box, helping it become even more fascinating than the earlier version. Additionally, it gets a bunch of exciting features like tire pressure and park pilot parking assist sensor, which makes it a feature-rich and contemporary car.
Volkswagen Beetle 53 will be offered in four different engine options- 77kW 1.2-litre petrol, 77kW 1.6-litre diesel, 103kW 2.0-litre diesel and a 103kW 2.0-litre diesel with six-speed DSG transmission, each priced differently for its Spanish customers.
