Honda Jazz getting CVT with paddle shifters?

Honda India is preparing for the re-entry of Jazz hatchback into the Indian market. And reportedly the City-based hatch will get CVT automatic transmission with steering mounted paddle shifters (with petrol variant), a segment first. Speaking of the launch, Jazz was expected to enter in the first half of 2014.
However, due to huge demands of current models Honda Cars India says -Jazz 's launch is slightly delayed and will enter anytime in 2015. But since the company has already started the production of the same (spied pictures), expect the new Jazz to enter in the first half of 2015. Honda Jazz will compete with the premium hatch brigade - Hyundai Elite i20, Fiat Punto EVO, VW Polo and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Adding more on the 2015 Honda Jazz, the hatchback has taken a massive leap forward compared to the previous-gen model which was being sold in the country. Based on the City, Jazz will also share the City’s dashboard and will be loaded with similar features. Touch AC controls, rear AC vents, auto climate control, City’s instrumentation cluster, latest infotainment unit along with host of storage spaces, are some of the features coming in this new offering.
Talking about the engines, like before, Jazz will be powered by the same 1.2-liter i-VTEC motor producing 87 bhp and 109 Nm of torque. This said, the biggest drawback of the previous model will be fulfilled by this one, 2015 Jazz will get the fuel efficiency 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine chucking out 99 bhp and 200 Nm peak torque.
