Hyundai has launched the Alcazar from Rs 16.30 lakh to Rs 20 lakh and announced that it has received 4,000 bookings for the SUV so far. Deliveries have also commenced across the country.
Till now, the petrol and diesel variants have registered almost the same number of bookings. The manual and automatic variants also see equal bookings. Even all the three trims -- Prestige, Platinum and Signature -- have received the same number of bookings.
The Hyundai Alcazar is available in three broad trims with eight variants in total: Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum and Platinum (O), Signature, Signature Dual Tone, Signature (O), and Signature (O) Dual Tone.
It features LED headlamps, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, electric parking brake with auto hold, front row ventilated seats, air purifier with AQI display, paddle shifters, powered driver’s seat, Bose premium sound system, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, wireless charging for the first and second row (only for the six-seater variant), and cruise control.
Safety is covered by rear disc brakes, electronic stability control, hill start assist control, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps, a driver rearview monitor, a rear parking camera, and rear parking sensors as standard fitment. The range-topping variants further get a 360-degree camera, up to six airbags, and a blind spot monitor.
The Alcazar gets 159PS 2.0-litre petrol and 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engines, both paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
The Hyundai Alcazar competes with the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV500, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700.
