Hyundai does justice with i10 by offering hefty discounts

Hyundai India has joined the flock of car makers doling out discount on cars to customers this Diwali. Valid till October 31, the offer is on Hyundai Santro, Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20, Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Sonata, with the discount on Hyundai i10 being most visible and grabbing eyeballs. The move has come after arch rival Maruti India offered discounts on its models.

The metallic shades of Hyundai i10 get a cash discount of 5,000 and free insurance worth Rs, 13,000. However, all the non-metallic shades of Hyundai i10 are on special offers. There is cash discount of Rs. 23,525 on Hyundai i10 Era that puts it in the same price band as Maruti Wagon R LXI BS IV which costs Rs. 3.65 lakh. Both are similarly featured hatchbacks. The Hyundai i10 Magna 1.1L gets a discount of Rs. 23,039 making it Rs. 11,000 cheaper than Wagon R VXI BS IV priced at Rs. 3.90 lakh (all prices being ex-showroom Delhi). However, there appears to be some differences in the features of both the cars with latter being superior with airbags and music system.

These discounts are helpful only if you do not wish to buy anything except Hyundai i10. The Hyundai i10 Magna 1.2 and Hyundai i10 Sportz Option each gets a cash discount of Rs. 25,000 so they can now be bought for Rs. 3.95 lakh and Rs. 4.54 lakh, respectively. All these variants prove their supremacy in terms of power over Maruti Wagon R, Maruti A-Star or Maruti Estilo models. However, if you are on the market for power, then Maruti Ritz Lxi and Maruti Ritz Vxi, both of which are powered by the 84-BHP K-Series engine, can be had for Rs. 4.03 lakh, and Rs. 4.38 lakh, respectively.

Other models which have a bit less sheen on their Diwali offers are Hyundai Santro which gets first year insurance waiver plus Rs. 5,000 cash discount; Hyundai Accent which comes with a Rs. 6,000 cash discount; Hyundai i20 Petrol with which 200 liters of the fuel is free (worth Rs. 13,500) and if you opt for Hyundai Sonata, you would not have to pay first year’s insurance worth Rs. 50,000.
