Hyundai RB concept being tested on Indian Roads

Hyundai Motors just keeps hitting the Indian car market with its new and better developments. This time around, its the Hyundai RB concept thats come in the headlines recently. The Hyundai RB concept was initially displayed at the Moscow Motor Show and now the same was seen being tested on the Indian roads. It is being speculated that the new car would come as the next Hyundai Verna in India.
According to industry experts, however, the car is a repackaged and redesigned Hyundai Accent with alterations in its headlights, bumpers, bonnet, front grille etc.
Hyundai RB is a family sedan manufactured for the entry level segment and holds the possibility of being launched in India very soon, possibly next year. The car when being tested was kept under a lot of wraps and seems to be going further alterations or changes.
Moving on to Hyundai's recently launched SUV, Hyundai Santa Fe which has been pleasantly welcomed in the Indian market. The Crossover Utility Vehicle was first launched in the year 2001 in the United States and is built on the Hyundai Sonata platform. It has been named on a city in New Mexico. Available as a 7 seater vehicle, Santa Fe will be imported from Korea as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). The car that was launched in India on 14th of October, sports a 2.2-litre CRDi engine that produces 197 PS of power at 3800 rpm and develops 420Nm of torque between 1800-2500 rpm. The SUV has been priced at INR 20.95 lac. Hyundai Santa Fe can be booked by paying 5 per cent of the cost.
Hyundai Santa Fe has the reputation of registering 20 lakhs sales ever since its launch. The company officials while launching the same in India commented that the SUV would offer a competitive edge in the segment of SUV and provide its customers with top notch performance and luxury.
The launch of the Hyundai Santa Fe has further strengthened the company's position in the market. Another good news for Hyundai fans is that the company is all set to launch the all new Hyundai Elantra in 2011. The model will be manufactured at the company's facility in Alabama.
