South Korean auto maker Hyundai has today teased the HCD-14 concept vehicle ahead of its debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Revealing some information about the car, the company says in a statement “The HCD-14 concept will give the automotive world a glimpse into future Hyundai premium vehicle design, advanced 3-D gesture-based technology controls, and spirited driving dynamics.”
The company hasn't disclosed the specifications as of now, but looking at the teaser, it's clearly visible that the HCD-14 will be a premium four-door coupe/saloon and has taken its inspiration from Mercedes-Benz CLS and BMW 6-Series GranCoupe. It also features prominent character lines, attractive tail lights and Audi A7 like sloping roofline, proving it to be an upmarket product from the stables of Hyundai.
There are also speculations that the HCD-14 could possibly hint at the styling of next generation Hyundai Genesis, which is yet to be launched in many markets including the UK. Reason behind code naming it HCD-14 is the fact that it will be the 14th model designed by Hyundai's California Design Studio, some media reports suggest. Since, we have this much information about the upcoming HCD-14, but stay tuned, we will bring you more information after it is unveiled at Detroit Motor Show on 14th January. Cheers!
