Toyota, the Japanese automaker is all set to launch the 2014 Land Cruiser in the UK on 1 December. It is the same model which we expect to be introduced in the Indian car market by the next year. The new Land Cruiser gets a refreshed exteriors and interiors, new entertainment features and advanced off-road technologies.
2014 Land Cruiser comes equipped with the latest Toyota Touch 2 system- touch screen multimedia system. The new system improves screen resolution by a factor of four, and introduces smartphone style 'drag and swipe' gesture technology for improved operation. It also sports the Tom Tom Real Time Traffic alerts, which further enhances the accuracy of traffic information. Selection of the right destination has been improved with the use of Google Street View functionality, allowing users to see a high resolution image of their destination before selection.
The new Land Cruiser offers an excellent off-road capability along with a premium luxury and seating for up to eight. It is powered by a 5.7-litre V8 DOHC engine that churns out maximum power output of 382bhp at 5,600rpm and 543Nm of torque at 3,600rpm.
The vehicle comes equipped with various smart features like LED Daytime running lights, electric windows, body coloured door handles, chrome radiator grille, climate control air conditioning, rear view camera, 7 airbags, VSC with Active traction control, Hill-start Assist Control and Downhill Assist Control and others.
The high end models of the vehicle get features like triple zone automatic air conditioning, dusk sensing headlamps, rain sensing wipers, auto dimming rear view mirror, front and rear parking sensors, leather and wood steering wheel, rear electric suspension and Adaptive variable suspension, trailer stability control, multi terrain monitor with 4 cameras and several others.
