Jaguar Land Rover has launched the much awaited Long Wheelbase Autobiography Black Edition of its flagship SUV Range Rover at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Bollywood Starlet Priyanka Chopra and Gerry McGovern, Design Director, Land Rover, jointly pulled off the curtain from this gigantic SUV. It is the most expensive vehicle in its entire lineup and costs a hefty sum of Rs. 2.63 Crores (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
Land Rover displaying its brilliance and eminence has increased the wheelbase of this SUV by 186mm which subsequently results in much spacious legroom. It also comes in with Executive Class leather seats leather seats which offer memory settings, a message function and climate control Besides this, they could be folded up to 17 degrees as compared to its earlier version where seats used to recline by only 8 degrees. Inside the cabin, there is also 10.2-inch screens at the rear seats and adjustable tables which transforms the cabin into a complete heaven. As far as exterior modifications are concerned, the company has installed a more imposing front grille this time with a set of new 21 & 22 inches polished alloys.
Mechanically, the Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black Edition comes equipped with 5.0-litre, V8, supercharged petrol engine which returns a mammoth power output of around 504bhp and a peak torque performance of 625Nm. It is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission in order to maximize performance and maintain its superior off-roading capabilities, which are unmatched. The deliveries of the vehicle in India are slated to commence from the third quarter of 2014.
