Mahindra First choice expected to do business of entry level car in India

India's leading auto major Mahindra and Mahindra is all set to make business with Mahindra First Choice just like an entry level car business in India. The Indian uiility manufacturers knows that the used car business is a potential market in India. When this was asked from Mr Anand Mahindra, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director at the Mahindra group he replied that Mahindra First Choice is not a car it is only the company's used car business enterprise.
Now it has been cleared that Mahindra Gourp is doing well in used car business through Mahindra First Choice which is not its entry level car in domestic market. Presently the Indian auto firm is pushing its pre owned car business and is getting overwhelming response via this company. As per Anand Mahindra, the ratio between used car and new car sale is 1:1 which clearly exhibits the potential this sector has. M&M is expecting that if its used car business will get wings, the 1:1 ratio would be converted to 1:2.5.
Mahindra FirstChoice it the fastest growing used car business from Mahindra Group which currently has 151 stores across the country and it has sold over 28,000 pre owned cars in India during 2010-2011 year. The company is doing quite well in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and it has sold over 5000 used cars in these states. To push this used car business in South India its first ‘2S’ SuperStore has been opened in Chennai. The outlet, which is located at Poonamalee High Road, Nerkundaram, is spread across 27,000 sq. ft. and is an integrated sales and service facility.
Mahindra Group which holds the auto market with Mahindra Logan is ready to foray with SsangYong Motors of South Korea is planing to launch its cars in India in the coming 18 months time. Meanwhile a special edition of its most popular MUV Mahindra Bolero has recently been out which comes with enhanced price of Rs. 80,000 than its base model.
