The features, variants, engines and seating configurations of the XUV700 have been revealed

As per our dealer sources, the bookings of the XUV700 will begin from October 2, similar to the Thar. The prices could be announced on the same date as well.

It will be available MX and AX trims with the option of five and seven seater configurations.

To feature 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, built-in Alexa, and powered memory driver seat.

Safety will be covered by upto seven airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, driver drowsiness detection, and driver assist features.

It is powered by 200PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 155PS/185PS 2.2-litre diesel engines, paired to 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions and an optional AWD.

Our dealer sources suggest that the bookings for the Mahindra XUV700 will commence from October 2. The situation seems similar to the Thar, for which the unveiling, launch and bookings began on similar dates last year.

The XUV700 will come in MX and AX trims, the latter being the more premium and powerful one. Interestingly, it will be offered in five and seven seater configurations, competing with a huge group of SUVs.
It features flush-fitting door handles, sequential turn indicators, LED lighting, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, inbuilt Amazon Alexa, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and 12-speaker Sony sound system.
Safety will be covered by up to seven airbags, a 360-degree camera and electric parking brake. It also gets ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System) with radar and sensor-based features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, and driver drowsiness detection system.
The XUV700 comes with 200PS 2-litre turbo-petrol and 155PS(MX) / 185PS(AX) 2.2-litre diesel engines, both mated to 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. While it comes in front-wheel-drive as standard, there’s also an optional segment first all-wheel-drive (AWD).
The Mahindra XUV700 is priced from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and will take on the likes of the MG Hector, Hector Plus, Tata Harrier, Safari, Jeep Compass, and Hyundai Alcazar.
