Update: Mahindra has launched the XUV300 in India, with the prices beginning at Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom India). Read more about it here.

  • Colour shades include red, blue, white, black, orange and silver.

  • Official pre-launch bookings are underway for Rs 20,000.

  • Launch scheduled for 14 February 2019.

  • Expected prices range between Rs 8 and 12 lakh.

Mahindra’s upcoming sub-4m SUV appears to be promising on paper. It gets features like dual-zone automatic AC, sunroof and steering modes. The engines are the torquiest in segment too and the expected price range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 12 lakh is also at par with the EcoSport. Bookings have already begun for Rs 20,000 with launch scheduled for first half of Feb 2019. We have already driven the Mahindra XUV300 and you can check out the first drive review here.

If you fancy buying one, there’s some more good news. Mahindra has now revealed the colour options for the XUV300, and here’s what’s on offer:

Along with these, Mahindra will also offer the XUV300 in dual-tone colour schemes. Although the carmaker has not officially confirmed it, but our media cars sported dual-tone colour schemes too. Also, sources from Mahindra R&D have confirmed that dual-tone colours will be offered only in the W8 (O) variant.

The Mahindra XUV300 will be available in four variants- W4, W6, W8 and W8(O). It will come with two engine options- a 1.2-litre petrol engine (possibly turbocharged) and a 1.5-litre diesel. Torque outputs of the diesel and petrol are 300Nm and 200Nm respectively. And both will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard with no automatic transmission, at least at launch.

In terms of features, the top-spec XUV300 will come with a sunroof, besides first-in-class features like dual-zone Auto AC and front parking sensors. Standard safety kit will include disc brakes on all four wheels, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and dual airbags. Seven airbags will be on offer on the top-spec W8(O) variant, which is again a first in the segment.

The Mahindra XUV300 will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V and Ford EcoSport in India. So far, we have seen the XUV300 in just three of the six shades on offer. Which colour option do you think would look the best on the XUV300? Let us know in the comments section below.
