Good news is that Mahindra and Mahindra might showcase its new MPV, the Xylo Mini at the 2012 Auto Expo with the launch closely following the heels. A recently spotted test mule of the Mahindra MPV gives us some more information to ponder upon until the launch. The sub-four meter length MPV is certainly a seven-seater to begin with. It’s only that the two side facing single seats in the rear end of the car can be leveraged for the boot space if and when required. The smartly laid out interior seating arrangement clearly shows a 2+3+2 layout.

The rear occupants are meant to face each other at seating, which offers accommodation for a single passenger on either side. Country’s largest utility vehicle manufacturer once again astonishes the consumers with the remarkable Mahindra Xylo Mini price, expected to be somewhere around Rs 4 – Rs 5 lakhs targeting the most budget conscious group in the country. Looks like Xylo Mini will have a chunk of advantage with its budget price especially against its upcoming rival compact Ford Ecosport. The fully-grown Xylo is always offered as an all-diesel version and the same is expected of the mini version as well.

However, Mahindra India will have to abide by the 1.5 L diesel powertrain to benefit from the Government’s policy of sub four meter length vehicles.
