The Indian utility manufacturer Mahindra was in contract with Global Vehicles, a United States based firm which will officially import Mahindra Pick Up truck powered by diesel engine. The Indian side of the partnership said that the contract had expired. It triggered the US based auto company Global Vehicles to file the lawsuit in Atlanta against Mahindra. The lawsuit stated that Mahindra is trying to shed the American auto major from the deal.

As per the news available, Global Vehicles have withdrawn the case against the Indian auto major Mahindra and is planning to send it further to the British arbitration panel that will rule on the case in August. The US firm had dropped the case in US due to the London based panel rejected to rule the case which was earlier running in the Unites States court.

In the US auto market, Mahindra is all set to introduce 4x4 Mahindra Scorpio with which it is making its debut in the global auto market. Few days ago Mahindra was under fire for the dismal of the fuel efficiency figures of Mahindra TR40 Pick Up. M&M promised atleast 30 mpg for the diesel powertrain and four wheel drive setup. While the Mahindra pick up truck could manage 19 mpg on city roads and 21 mpg on the highways. With the increasing fuel prices globally affecting almost everyone, Americans are also worried over the issue now.
