It is Sebastian Vettel who has won the first Indian Grand Prix F1 race that took place on October 30th for the first time in India. In the honour of the victory, Sachin Tendulkar waved the checkered flag which signifies the win for the contestant. It is the 10th win during the season with three more races left for the championship. The 24 year old German contestant from Red Bull had been successful in completing the race in 1 min 24.178 seconds leading Jenson Button who had to settle for the second position. Fernando Alonso on Ferrari takes the third position leading Mark Webber in the race.
The seven time champion of Grand Prix, Michael Schumacher had to compromise with the sixth position after Mark Webber. The only consolation for Schumacher has been that he had outpaced his team mate in the race. Nico Roseberg from the Mercedes GP team has taken the sixth position. After a heated battle between Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa during the race, Lewis Hamilton managed to take the seventh slot in the race. Lewis Hamilton who had been penalised during the practise sessions earlier had a rift with Felipe Massa this time as well. Felipe Massa had aggressively cut across Lewis Hamilton in the race costing him the loss of the front wing of his car. However, the race referees have served him with penalty for his unscruplous behaviour. After committing another blunder, the racers future with Ferrari is uncertain.
Jamie Alguersuari occupied the eighth place in the race and the Sahara Force India team bagged the ninth position in the race. Vitaly Petrov managed to grab the 11th position despite a minor stunt where his car skidded past the curbs nevertheless managed to overcome the situation in time. Bruno Senna, the co-competitor of Vitaly from the Lotus Renault team has the 12th position in the race. Paul Di Resta had to settle for the 13th position in the race, while Adrian Sutil from the same team, Force India grabbed the 9th position. Narain Karthikeyan, the only contestant from India had managed to finish the race at 17th position.
