Maruti Suzuki car prices hiked by up to Rs. 9000, effected from 4 April

Due to rising input costs, Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car manufacturer  has hiked the prices of its cars in India by up to Rs.9000. The company has made announcement yesterday about this increment for Maruti Suzuki car prices which has been effected from April 4. The main reason of this car price hike is rising input costs.

As per the reliable sources from the car company that increment of the car price will be different for all models. The company is hiking price between 0.2 per cent to 2.4 per cent, so minimum increase is starting form Rs 1,100 and a maximum is Rs 9,000 for its all different 15 models.

In the beginneing of this year MSI has hiked the prices for all models by up to Rs. 8000, leav its recently launched Maruti Alto and now comes with new increment for all the Models including latest luxury sedan Maruti Kizashi. So the company has hiked its car prices twice time in a year due to risen cost of row material.

Presently Maruti Suziki includes 15 cars in its stable and some popular models are Maruti Alto, Maruti 800, Maruti Ritz, Maruti Swift Dzire, Maruti Swift, Maruti Zen Estilo and Maruti Wagon R. All these cars are pushing the sales of the company. Its entry level cars is Maruti M800 which has some more price than high-end variant of Tata Nano. Meanwhile Maruti Kizashi is the latest luxury sedan by the company which is priced up to Rs 17.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and its major competitors are Chevrolet Captiva, Skoda Superb and Hyundai Sonata Transform. 

All the Indian car manufactures are under pressure due to rising cost of raw materials. Tata Motors has already hiked the prices of its cars by up 36,000 from April 1 this year. Meanwhile another car giant like Hyundai Motor India is considering about hike to car prices.
